What Nourishes You?

October is harvest time in the northern hemisphere and springtime for our southern friends.

Either way, it’s a great time to pause and reflect on what truly nourishes you.

What best feeds your body, mind, and spirit?

Take a few minutes this week and ask yourself the following questions:

  1. What truly nourishes my body? What makes my body feel good? What foods nourish me deeply (and aren’t just someone else’s idea of what is “healthy”)? What movement, activities, rest periods feel best? What emotions make my body feel great, such as love, joy, laughter, connection?

  2. What nourishes my mind? What can I take into my mind that makes me feel happier and stronger, including music, social media, books, movies, TV? What activities nourish my mind, such as meaningful conversations with loved ones, learning something new, being creative?

  3. What nourishes my soul? What lifts me up and makes my heart sing? What makes my life feel worth living, such as relationships, purpose, creativity, fun, joy?

  4. What/who in my life doesn’t nourish me? Who/what drains my energy? 

As you look over your lists, what is one thing you can do today to deeply nourish yourself?
