Find Your Balance

Dear Friends,

In these challenging times when there is so much happening in the external world, paying attention to what helps us stay balanced internally is more important than ever.

When we’re feeling calm with a regulated nervous system, we’re much more able to know how best to support  ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.

What helps you feel balanced?

For me, it’s simple things like spending time in nature, paying attention to my breath, and being with loved ones.

Take a few minutes to get quiet and feel into what helps you stay calm, relaxed, and centered.

Write a list and ask yourself how you can make those things more of a priority in your life.

Also check in with your inner guidance and ask what takes you away from feeling balanced.

For me, that would be things like spending a lot of time online (especially the news), worrying about things I can’t control, and trying to do too much and feeling rushed and stressed.

The more clear we can get about what is most important in our lives, and prioritize those people, activities, etc., the more balanced we’ll feel.

The crazier the outside world gets, the more important it is for us to slow down, breathe, do the things that help us stay balanced and, as much as possible, let go of what isn’t supportive.
