Eternally Grateful
Dear Friends,
This time of year I always feel so much gratitude to still be alive here on this beautiful planet earth.
Nineteen years ago my heart was failing and open heart surgery to repair a faulty heart valve saved my life.
For months afterwards, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of life and for every little aspect of my life, large and small.
Over time I started to take life for granted again, but at this time of year I am always reminded what a tremendous gift it is just to be alive.
This year I am also feeling especially grateful to all the scientists, medical researchers, and brave physicians who pioneered open heart surgery.
What a concept - to be able to stop the heart and hook the patient up to a heart/lung machine to keep them alive while the surgeons operate - wow!
I am so grateful to everyone who was involved with developing medical knowledge, and to all those who are still working to innovate new technologies and techniques.
I feel so fortunate to have been the beneficiary of both the best of western medicine - with the heart surgery that saved my life - and also the exciting new field of mind/body healing which has helped me greatly.
Thank you so much to my wonderful family and friends who have always supported me, and to all the brave pioneers in the healing fields - both western medicine and all the exciting new mind/body modalities!
I am eternally grateful for this bonus time on planet earth with all of you!
With much love and gratitude,
Liz
